Our Story
A proper pub in one of Wiltshire's most sought-after villages near Marlborough.
The Plough sits at the heart of the vibrant community of Shalbourne, a tranquil but accessible corner of Wiltshire that delights in every way. It is everything a country pub should be: welcoming and unhurried, with a focus on service whether you are just looking for a drink or a meal prepared with fresh ingredients from local suppliers.
The Plough has recently been taken into new ownership and both the exterior and interior have been reimagined to create an enjoyable experience from the moment you step through the door or use one of our outdoor areas, either in the private garden or sitting out front watching the world go by.
Whatever your reason for visiting, drinks, food, an event or walking the local countryside, you will receive a warm welcome. As will your well-behaved four-legged friend.
